How long is a Martian year?
It's a year long, if you're from Mars. To an earthling, it's nearly twice as long. The red planet takes 687 Earth-days to go around the Sun -- compared to 365 days for Earth. Taking into account Mars' different rotational time (see #13 below) calendars on Mars would be about 670 days long with some leap days needed to keep things square. If you find one, please mail it to me. I'm curious how they worked out the months, given they have two moons. [The initial publication of this fact mistakenly said a Mars calendar would have 687 days.]

I really enjoyed that email you got, wow. That's an explanation that speaks to us all, kids or adults. This is ultimatly one of the most powerful posts I have ever read! It is fanatastic and gets the point across to everyone or so I should hope. Isn't it beautiful how children see things through thier eyes. They are smarter than we give them credit for! PS Scrapbooking is super fun stuff. I made both my boys baby books with tons of fun little papers and trinkets! I had a blast doing them and it made them that much more special knowing that mom made them! Love ya! Some place in Saskatchewan in the 30s recorded 130 degrees. I have an aunt who does scrapbooking, right now she probably has I would say at least 60 to 70 books by now.I know how creative you are and that the books will turn out wonderful, so create away. Wednesday, February 15, 2006 Aidan seems to be adjusting well. He was really happy to see me last night, as I have not seen him since Sunday. :) Thoughts for the day: Expect trouble as an inevitable part of lice, and when it comes, hold your head high. Look it squarely in the eye, and say, "I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me." ~ Ann Landers If you judge people, you have no time to love them. ~Mother Teresa One who knows how to show and accept kindness will be a friend better than any possession. ~Sophocles Factoid: The word "toast," meaning a wish of good health, started in ancient Rome, where a piece of toasted bread was dropped into wine Espanol: Que' voy a hacer? = what am I going to do? mi corazon = my heart shes_a_sprite @ 1:18 PM.
Great pic! That is very suckful that you will not update from work, I hope you get time to visit us and update since this is one of my fave blogs. Good to hear Vday was good for ya. look at you all stunning in your dress. me? controversial? more like my site is too popular at infinigeists workplace that they had to block me hahahahahahaaaa Saturday, February 11, 2006 shes_a_sprite @ 6:22 PM.
Awwww he is gorgeous! The eyes surely have it! Beautiful pictures! He's beautiful, I now want a dog too (only my mom hates dogs) I really envy you right now. hmmm... palindrome, I wonder if cancrine which means palindromic is related? I wanted to thank you for "pushing" me into asking Jordi (I first thought it was Joeri, but it's Jordi) 'cause all these great people encouraging me to do it made me do it =D I'm way to freaking happy I gotta agree with u carmel! am I the only one who thinks the dog looks rather confused? Tuesday, February 07, 2006 shes_a_sprite @ 5:29 PM.
Hey-where's r spanish? shes_a_sprite @ 10:15 AM.
Oh yes, the never ending mystery of the human behavior and mind.People are just people, they can't be anything else and thats just too bad. SOrry to hear about your friend lying, maybe she was so ashamed or something, not that i'm excusing it. Monday, February 06, 2006 shes_a_sprite @ 4:14 PM.
Great pics! It sounds like you had a great time. That pic of James is funny lol.He looks like a great guy, and sounds like one too. Looks like fun, but I got to tell ya--what is up with the BURGER KING-KING? He is the scarriest MF'r I have ever seen in my life! I love those sorts of things. We have a Ren fair near where i live and a huge celtic festival that is incredible. James looks really sweet, shes_a_sprite @ 3:07 PM.
I will continue to pray for ms beach and larry x I actually forwarded her that link, before she started posting personal information on what was wrong. I just knew that she might need the power of prayer behind her, but now that I do know, I posted a prayer request there! Thanks Carmel! Saturday, February 04, 2006 shes_a_sprite @ 10:56 PM.
That is the most beautiful picture of you! where is that picture taken? Man, I'd like to do something like that for my back yard. It's so ugly back there. It was taken at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. It was so very peacefull there! I could have sat there all day, and just listened to the water rushing behind me, reflected on life, meditated... Man I need to take yoga or something! shes_a_sprite @ 10:55 PM.
I think this one looks like some fairy tale, but it was real, I was there... This is James climbing a fallen tree... look he is king of the mountain! :) So I guess I am going to try to upload the yin and yang picture from my photo bucket account, and there is a really cool waterfall one too. They are posting like microscopic size, in the corner of really wierd gray scale pictures. Pictures neither of us have ever seen before. Seriously wierd... lol! shes_a_sprite @ 10:19 PM.
I love the photos they are fanatastic and so beautiful. Friday, February 03, 2006 shes_a_sprite @ 3:57 PM.
Yuk! I hate spiders! Loved reading this!! Does Draco have his blog still? He would get on well with Cal the Wonderdog who has a blog too. Thursday, February 02, 2006 shes_a_sprite @ 9:30 AM.
Aw sweety, I hope you will get better pretty soon. That's awful. I read before you don't like spiders particularly so now I'm guessing your dislike has increased. I don't like them either, they scare me. Even though my name is 'Cinnamon Spider' that's just from a song I like lolz. But really that sounds really terrible, I hope your arm gets better soon!! *hugs* Spiders really do bight! Want me to come down and kick the spider's butt? Oh no!! I actually got bitten on the arm pit too! A few years ago, by a spider called a huntsman, they are harmless though.
Scrapbooking
I have taken up a new hobby. I have always been artsy fartsy, I love to draw, paint, write, cut, glue, take pictures, well basically - I like to create! Well, the problem with all this is that it takes time, and time is a comodity that I don't have much of. So I have taken up scrapbooking. I can incorporate my photography skillz (or lack there of) and my artsy fartsy skills to make something that I will cherish till the end of my days. And the best part about this, I can do one or two pages at my leasure, it doesn't take a lot of time.
With technology advancing as rapidly as it does, I can take pictures, and when I have a few I want printed, log on to walmart.com, upload my pictures, and pick them up within the hour, for less money than it would cost to have real film developed. The coolest part about this is that I don't even have to leave my house to drop them off. A few clicks, and wham ~
At target, they have a whole isle dedicated to just scrapbook stuff. It is pretty neat too! I spent a little too much money last weekend, but I won't have to buy anything for a while now. :)
I went into a cleaning frenzy last night. Cleaning always calms me down, and helps me when my world seems stressed. I find a certain peacefullness in a clean and orderly house. When my house gets a little out of order, it bothers me. I try not to let it show, and I try not to complain, cause I know it bugs Lar. It is like these are the things that I can control in my life, and when I am stressed if I can just put everything back in order, it will be okay. And when it gets out of place, I feel out of control, and thus more stressed. Does that make any sense? Ahyhow.
I got this in my email, and thought some of my readers might enjoy it as much as I did. I think it extends beyond an explanation of war, and can generalize to any life circumstance that we find trying, and it would be easier to just turn away from. But what kind of life is that? I think this father did a great job answering his sons questions.
Open The Blinds
The other day, my nine year old son wanted to know why we were at war... My husband looked at our son and then looked at me. My husband and I were in the Army during the Gulf War and we would be honored to serve and defend our country again today. I knew that my husband would give him a good explanation. My husband thought for a few minutes and then told my son to go stand in our front living room window.
He said, "Son, stand there and tell me what you see?"
"I see trees and cars and our neighbors' houses," he replied.
"OK, now I want you to pretend that our house and our yard is the United States of America and you are President Bush."
Our son giggled and said, "OK."
"Now, son, I want you to look out the window and pretend that every house and yard on this block is a different country," my husband said. "OK Dad, I'm pretending."
"Now I want you to stand there and look out the window and pretend you see Saddam come out of his house with his wife, he has her by the hair and is hitting her. You see her bleeding and crying. He hits her in the face, he throws her on the ground, then he starts to kick her to death. Their children run out and are afraid to stop him, they are screaming and crying, they are watching this but do nothing because they are kids and they are afraid of their father. You see all of this, son.... what do you do?"
"Dad?"
"What do you do, son?"
"I'd call the police, Dad."
"OK. Pretend that the police are the United Nations. They take your call. They listen to what you know and saw but they refuse to help. What do you do then, son?"
"Dad....... but the police are supposed to help!" My son starts to
whine.
"They don't want to, son, because they say that it is not their place or your place to get involved and that you should stay out of it," my husband says.
"But, Dad... he killed her!!" My son exclaims.
"I know he did... but the police tell you to stay out of it. Now I want you to look out that window and pretend you see our neighbor who you're pretending is Saddam turn around and do the same thing to his children."
"Daddy... he kills them?"
"Yes, son, he does. What do you do?"
"Well, if the police don't want to help, I will go and ask my next door
neighbor to help me stop him," our son says.
"Son, our next door neighbor sees what is happening and refuses to get involved as well. He refuses to open the door and help you stop him," my husband says.
"But Dad, I NEED help!!! I can't stop him by myself!!"
"WHAT DO YOU DO, SON?" Our sons starts to cry.
"OK, no one wants to help you, the man across the street saw you ask for help and saw that no one would help you stop him. He stands taller and puffs out his chest. Guess what he does next, son?"
"What, Daddy?"
"He walks across the street to the old lady's house and breaks down her door and drags her out, steals all her stuff and sets her house on fire and then... he kills her. He turns around and sees you standing in the window and laughs at you. WHAT DO YOU DO?"
"Daddy...."
"WHAT DO YOU DO?" Our son is crying and he looks down and he whispers, "I'd close the blinds, Daddy."
My husband looks at our son with tears in his eyes and asks him. "Why?"
"Because, Daddy... the police are supposed to help people who need them... and they won't help... You always said neighbors are supposed to HELP neighbors, but they won't help either... they won't help me stop him... I'm afraid.... I can't do it by myself, Daddy ...... I can't look out my window and just watch him do all these terrible things and ... and ... do nothing ... so ..... I'm just going to close the blinds ... so I can't see what he's doing . And I'm going to pretend that it is
not happening."
I start to cry. My husband looks at our nine year old son standing in the window, looking pitiful and ashamed at his answers to my husband's questions. He says.... "Son....."
"Yes, Daddy?"
"Open the blinds, because that man...... he's at your front door... "WHAT DO YOU DO?"
My son looks at his father, anger and defiance in his eyes. He balls up his tiny fists and looks his father square in the eyes, and without hesitation he says, "I DEFEND MY FAMILY DAD!!! I'M NOT GONNA LET HIM HURT MOMMY OR MY SISTER, DAD!!! I'M GONNA FIGHT HIM, DAD, I'M GONNA FIGHT HIIM!!!!!"
I see a tear roll down my husband's cheek and he grabs our son to his chest and hugs him tight, and says.... "It's too late to fight him, he's too strong, and he's already at YOUR front door, son... you should have stopped him BEFORE he killed his wife, and his children, and the old lady across the way. You have to do what's right, even if you have to do it alone, before it's too late," my husband whispers. "THAT scenario I just gave you is WHY we are at war with Iraq. When good men stand by and let evil happen, son, THAT is the greatest mistake, believing that
the atrocities in the world won't affect them. "YOU MUST NEVER BE AFRAID TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT! EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO DO IT ALONE! BE PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN! BE PROUD OF OUR TROOPS!! SUPPORT THEM!!! SUPPORT AMERICA SO THAT IN THE FUTURE OUR CHILDREN WILL NEVER HAVE TO CLOSE THEIR BLINDS..."

Everything that is worthwhile in life is scary. Choosing a school, choosing a career, getting married, having kids -- all those things are scary. If it is not fearful, it is not worthwhile. ~Paul Tornier
Factoid: What is the hottest place on earth? Count one wrong if you guessed Death Valley in California. True enough on many days. But in El Azizia in Libya recorded a temperature of 136 degress Fahrenheit (57.8 celsius) on September 13, 1922 The hottest ever measured. In Death Valley, it got up to 134 Fahrenheit on July 10, 1913.
What is the coldest place on earth? Far away, the coldest temperature ever measured on earth was 129 degrees fahrenheit (89 degrees celsius) at Vostok Antartica on July 21, 1983.
Where is the highest waterfall? The water of Angel Falls in Venezuela drops 3,212 feet (979 Meters)

I know what you mean about the clean house and stress thing, an orderly house helps me feel orderly too and more peaceful, I don't know why exactly.
I hope you are not too stressed

Getting an award.... Chief is giving out Certificates of Commendation. From left to right, Chief with the microphone, Paul Gonzales a firefighter who helps us with spanish translations, Me, Fred Morris our K-9 Officer, and Glynn Bryan our Assistant State Attorney.
I don't know when this goes into effect, but there is going to be some sort of tracking program thing at work, where they are going to look and see how much time we spend on the internet, and what sights we visit. It is to be used for official business only. Bah humbug. I don't see anything wrong with it so long as you do it in your down time, but oh well. I will no longer be able to check blogs from work, or update from work. Which is rough, cause I am usually working on homework when I get home. There is not always downtime at work, but when there is, I assume there will be a lot of solitare playing occuring. :/
I will try to work out a schedule so that I can keep up with blogs and homework, but I don't know how well this is going to work.
Happy Valentines day all! Sorry it is a day late. James really liked his gift. And he did good too, He had a dozen red stemmed roses, an oil candle, and this really neat hair thing all setting on the counter when I got to his house last night. We are going to the Melting Pot for dinner on Saturday. This is what I got him, only they only had clocks at the store (that float) You have to special order the planes and what not, so maybe next holiday...
Happy Vday for yesterday x, that's a pretty cool clock, i'm always stuck for what to buy Jonathan and well any of the male species.
BTW I love the Anne Sanders quote lol. =)
My workplace has the ability to remote view our terminals plus they record all MSN conversations on their server. They also have surfing filters that block out lots of sites. It's funny, cos' it doesn't stop anyone from saying the wildest sh* or from surfing on their blogs and stuff. Although, it's funny, cos one of my coworkers noticed Carmel's blog was blocked by the filter, but mine wasn't. hahah I guess Carmel's just too controversial..
Another addition to the family!

I would like to introduce a new member of the family, Aidan. James has been wanting to get a dog since we met, perhaps before, so today we went to the humane society and adopted Aidan. He is a two and a half year old beagle/basset hound mix, and seems to be a really good boy. After the adoption process, (which took FOREVER) we went to petsmart and spent a ton of money on him! He got a bed, toys, shampoo, treats, a leash, collar, brush, bowls, I think that is it. We got him home and gave him a bath, and I cleaned his ears really good with Draco's ear cleaner, and he looks and smells great now!
I am not sure that Draco likes him just yet, but I think that will come with time. There are several dog parks here in Gainesville, and weather permitting we are going to go to one tomorrow. Aidan rides well in the car, and has already learned to chew his bone on his bed.
OK~ so in other news, the awards dinner was last night. James met my family, and most of my coworkers, and that went well. My mom likes him, which I knew she would. I got a Certificate of Commendation for being an excellent employee that goes above and beyond. Then after dinner, we went to my grandparents house, and he met my grandparents. This I thought may be a little harder, but he did fine. My grandmother called me afterwards to tell me that he is a keeper. Now, coming from my grandmother ~ this is shocking!
Larry got the Civilian of the Year award, I am very glad, he deserved it! He busted his ass this year, well he does every year, but this year was even harder he trained a ton of people, took over the city network administrator task, and was promoted to communications supervisor! GO Larry! :)
Sorry about the lack of updates this week, I was slammed with assiting in the set up and execution of the awards ceremony!

Congratulations on the award, same goes to Larry.
Grandma is older and wiser than all, so James must be a keeper ;}

Also, I am trying to get ahold of you about the flogging molly songs, but typepad won't let me view your email for some reason!! Grr! I am interested, so if you could email me first, I'd appreciate it, lol.

Thanks for the atta-boy and the inital recomendation.
Happy Valentine's Day (and that for a girl that normally was cursing on valentine's day, whaha)
He is adorable!
How to post a picture
I thought I might post this, as some people seem to have trouble posting pictures, it really is not hard, once you do it once or twice.

2. Step Two: That will bring you to this screen.
click on browse, which will bring you to this screen.
3. Go to where ever your pictures are stored, usually in my documents, in my pictures. Select which ever picture you want to post, which will bring you to back to this screen, with the name of the photo in the box beside the browse button that is circled.
4. Choose your allignment (where you want the picture to be posted) I usually choose center.
5. click upload image.
6. a little timer thing will come up, and when it is finished click the blue box that says "done," the picture should appear in the area that you normally type in, and you can type your update around it.
I hope this helps guys!
heheheee.....

Truth be told
Today is a busy busy day! We are preparing for the awards ceremony.
Yesterday, I felt completely betrayed by someone I am supposed to be really close to. I know her better than she knows herself, I have been there to pick up the pieces, and she has picked up mine. I don't know what would make her think she needed to lie to me. All of the stuff that we have been through together, I have never judged her, never looked down on her, I only tried to be there for her.
I hate it when people lie. Do they not understand that lying only hurts people more? Especially if you are close enough to the person to know they are lying. Deception~ It hurts. Over something so completely irrelevant, something so miniscule that it would not have mattered if she had told the truth.
Alcoholism also hurts. I thought perhaps distance would ease things off a bit, but it has not. I honestly do not understand what could be so hard about life, that you have to drown it all away. Why you have to spend even happy times with that numbing effect, that shroud of haze surrounding you? Does she forget, that I was there too, and that I was the one on the brunt end? Maybe it is guilt on her part, but if I can move past it, shouldn't she be able to?
Eh~ I rant, sorry... I want to understand people, why they behave the way that they do. Cubical revereand mentioned dreams today in his post. I am following my dream. I will be a forensic psychologist, and I will work for a sex crimes unit, so that I can help children and women who have been in my situation. I will catch the bad guys, and help see justice through, I will help victims cope, so that they do not turn to alcohol or drugs. I will do my part.
I will also be a good mother. I am slow getting this dream started. Another reason that I am taking psychology is so that perhaps I can understand my fears and my own behaviors and defense mechanims. Rule Number one in psychology, never psychoanalyze yourself... too late... lol! I want my children to have a childhood, full of love, security, learning, hope, dreams, fairy tales, make believe, cartoons and so much more. I want to be one of those mom's who never misses a game day, or a class room party, but at the same time, I do not want to be on of those over zealous mom's. Just cool enough that my children know that they can come to me for anything, and I will be there. And a good wife, I want the kind of relationship between my husband and I to be a partnership, not just a marriage on paper. I want to be his best friend, and he mine. I want to know I can lean on him and he will be there to catch me when I fall, and he should know that I am the same for him. I am tired of being an independant cuss, but I just don't know how to let go of that. Same old battle, but perhaps I am finally making some headway.
Anyhow, sorry to unload ~

I hope no one is resorting to alchohol, I have seen terrible things happen to people as a result, for some reason I was surrounded by it from when I was little and saw so many changes in people that I can't get their faces out of my head sometimes.
The job goal that you are working towards is so important, you will be able to help countless people and at the same time help the justice system.
YOur dreams of being a mother and wife are beautiful, I can't wait to see you acchieve all that. :)
And without any further audue (sp?) Pictures from the hoggetowne

well, blogger is being a BEACH as someone I know would say!

Larry would not let me take any cool photos of him! I have one of
him smirking at me, from below the bleachers, but I will just have to
try harder. There was one guy there, dressed like a king I guess,
but it was all white, the entire outfit, He looked like the burger king
mascott.... It was scary!
All in all, a good time was had by all! I love it! I cannot
wait until the Highland games at the end of this month! Oh no,
James may be in California ~ :( I am going to have to
check!
I like the work on your hand too.
It sure looks like somewhere I would want to tag along to!
No wonder Burger King is going Under!!!
and if I will ask Joeri to go out with me (and friends) you'll be the first to know.
So another post
This Friday is the Annual Police and Fire Awards Banquet. I am bringing James, and my Mother is going to be there, and possibly my grandparents. Larry's family will be there, and well I hope it is not an overload for the boy! I guess I am getting some sort of award, probably just a certificate of commendation for something, maybe my weak translator skills... or maybe just a longevity award, for being on of those employees who sticks around... I dunno. I dunno what to wear either... I may have to go shopping. bah humbug
I know a few of my readers really enjoy celtic music, so here is a sample from the Celtic Circle Cd's that Larry found. I love it!
Valentines day has never been a very good day for me, it seems as though I always break up with someone right before it, or walk in on them cheating on me the day prior. Well in five years, I have dreaded this aweful day. This year, I am actually looking forward to it. James and I have reservations for the following weekend to go eat at the Melting Pot, only one of the most romantic atmosphers in this area. It is so neat! They specialize in fondue type foods, staring with a chesse dip, and then bringing out hot greese, so that you cook your own food, and dessert OMG dessert is the best, special melted chocolate with all kinds of things to dip in it, things that normally would not even sound good dipped in chocolate. I may die from an allergy to chocolate, but by golly I am going to eat some! :) We are probably going to meet that night to exchange gifts, I found him the coolest thing, but I cannot tell you about it as he may be reading this too... Hi James ... Mwhaaaaa!
I made dinner last night, Pot roast, it was really good. How wierd is this though, my mom, my supervisor and I all made pot roast, without calling each other. I have not made a pot roast in like 5 years ~ what are the chances??? I also made cookies, really pretty cookies. They are cream cheese cookies, cut into heart shapes, and then half dipped in chocolate. I found the receipe in a magazine in the checkout, and it said easy cookie receipe... easy my ass! But they are very pretty!
I want to give props to Selena for her artwork, which you can find here! My personal favorite is Peaceful Glare! She has some amazing talent! Makes me wish I had time to pick up a pencil again! I miss drawing ~ However, I never say the day I was half as good as her! Man she is good!
My spiderbite is doing well. I am extremely happy that I can wear a bra again! I am almost finished with the darned prednisone and the antibiotics too, which is a good thing. I had my follow up visit today, and there is but a wee bump left under the skin, no larger than a small cyst, so I can deal with that. I do not have lime desease, and the infection was in the blood, but the antibiotics should have killed any of that!
I would like to ask that you keep msbeach and her son Larry in your thoughts and prayers, as they are facing some trying times. I have nothing but the utmost respect and awe for this woman. No matter what life throws her, she never takes off her catcher's mit. She has more strength than I thought was humanly possible. And she always manages to make me smile. How do you do it msbeach?

Yin and Yang
And finally ~ my favorite picture of the day! All I have to day is OOOOOMMMMMMMM! I found my inner chi, and I had to call upon it to finally post this darned picture, but I have prevailed. I have triumphed over the evil blogger ghosts, and cyber bugs, that were deviously trying to stop me. I win! ![]()
It looks so peaceful x

so here is the waterfall, I am still having trouble with the yin and yang... I will get it I swear I will!![]()
Lovely weekend
Thus far James and I are having a lovely weekend! I won't go into all the boring details, but today we went for a stroll in Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, and it was lovely! Not a lot was in bloom, but it was still peaceful! They had some really cool gazeboes (sp?) and some awesome waterfalls. My favorite part was this yin and yang in an alcove next to a waterfall ~ see picture below! well I would post it, but it is doing something really really wierd!
This is a picture of Me and James, in front of the waterfall (the one that ran behind the yin and yang) :) I like this picture alot! I wish we could have gotten more of the waterfall in it!
This is the spider lilly... It is really pretty, and looks nothing like a spider! Who would name such a beautiful flower after such a hideous creature???

Then they had a Koi (large goldfish) exhibit, which prompted me to say "awwwww, we should get a fishey" and low and behold, James had an unassembled fish tank, which we decided to assemble.
We went to the pet store and bought some el cheapo fish to get the tank started, something about getting the ph right, and the right amount of fish poo in the water, to make it stable enough for the more expensive fish. I named them, Nemo, Dori, Crush, Marlin, and Flounder... yeah I have a disney thing!
We cleaned all the gravel, the tank, the filters, everything, and now we just have to wait! Even to put the cheap fish in, we have to wait till the water settles and reaches temperature! I guess it is okay, but I am sooooo impatient! Anyhow, mostly I think I just had a good time doing something constructive together! Something that we took and made our own. We are now proud owners of fish. :)
Jonathan and I have been to a few botanical gardens, some in Australia and some in the USA, all have been so beautiful and we found it to be a peaceful and romantic time together.
Love the fish tank!
Nice to see James and that gorgeous blonde behind him!

spiders bite!!!
No really they do. Somehow I managed to get a spider bite (or at least they think that is what it is) sometime during the night Saturday night. After going to the doctor two days in a row, missing 4 days of work, and 2 days of class, being pumped full of 2000 mg of antibiotics a day (that is a lot of antibiotics everyday) steriods, topical creams, pain killers, and some other pill.... It is finally getting somewhat better.
I was bitten right in the crevice of where my arm turns into arm pitt. I have a large golf ball sized knott beneath my arm, making it painful to have my arm in a natural position (to my side) or type, or write. They think that the poison/ infection may be in my blood stream as I have residual pain and swelling in my entire arm. The swelling is not so bad, but I cannot get my rings on, and my joints (fingers, wrist and elbow) seem really stiff and painful. It was a fire red color, but that has gone away.
I just wanted to let yall know why I seem to have fallen of the face of the earth this week. I have usually updated and commented at least twice by now...
Oh we also switched internet services, soooooo during the couple of days that I was home, I had no internet, not that I really felt like typing anyhow, as that requires my arm be pressed to my side, and the use of my swollen knuckles.
Think I shall stop typing now...
Thought for the day: See there really is reason to fear spiders. no just kidding...
When I first open my eyes upon the morning meadows and look out upon the beautiful world, I thank God I am alive. ~ Ralph waldo Emerson
I do thank God I am alive, sorry if this post seems rather blah, but I feel rather blah right now.
Factoid: types of damage from a spider bite: The severity of the bite may vary. The symptoms may vary from no harm at all to a reaction that is very severe. Often there is a systemic reaction within 24-36 hours characterized by restlessness, fever, chills, nausea, weakness, and joint pain. Where the bite occurs there is often tissue death and skin is sloughed off. In some severe cases, a wound may develop that lasts several months.
Hmmmm, this explains why my joints in that arm hurt.... should have looked that up monday, oh wait I did not have internet.
espanol: spider: arana (with an ~ over the n) bite = mordedura spider bite = mordedura de araƱa
a proper update with pictures from the hoggetowne fair to come I assure you.

I hope you get better fast, poor spritey *hugs*

It sounds like you are very busy with homework, but you have a great attitude about it, as you say "but I will get through it" I like your determination, that's a great key to success.
The bike ride sounds fun! Jonathan took me and Bri out for a bike ride when we were visiting him, it was awesome! Unfortunately I lost that camera and was not able to post pics. YOu and James look great together! And you look very gorgeous at the melting pot! That chocolate sounds so good. My daughter got some chocolate as a gift and I ate it all, I couldn't help it, but she let me lol. I bought Jonathan chocolate too once and ate it all, there is something wrong with both those pictures i'd say lol.
How are you going to perform the ceremony, like you are going to be the celebrant type thing? wow, my goodness you must be his special spritey!!
All the pix are great, it's nice to see them all, thanks for sharing them, I can't ride horseys.
Hairy ass crack of dawn??? That made me choke on my coffee lol.
Love x

Mmmm.....,
Dinner looks and sounds yummy!
I just love chocolate!
Have you seen the Movie-"waiting'?
If you like to eat out, don't ever watch it. It is very, very funny, but I don't think I will ever eat anywhere else but my own kitchen!
There should be a warning on the cover or something. Beware-Don't watch if you enjoy eating at restaurants! Good luck with all the homework!
:)
8:42 AM
make sure to stop and smell the roses.
9:58 AM
Aww such cute pictures, I'm glad you spent some quality time with James, it looks like you guys had a lot of fun :)
10:37 AM
I like horses. are those yours?
Dinner? I like dinner. :)
11:37 AM
AWWWWWW... the two of you are lovely together. Dinner sounds like it was terrific. My dinners out include, McDonalds and Wendys! Yah I have kids!! Thats my excuse. We have a super beautiful restaurant here in Vernon called the Vernon Lodge its like you are dining outdoors but you really aren't. Its built over a creek that runs below and you can eat and view the creek, watch people swimming in a pool, hide out under the huge trees and enjoy a meal. Its so beautiful.
I have a horse named Peaches (Broom Gal), ex race horse you get the jist! Ex race horse=pyscho! I rode her many times until she heard a telephone ring (sounded like ring at the gates)at the neighbours and then ran us both into a fence where I landed on my neck and broke me hand. Thats the last time I ever rode her! xx Love ya.
9:37 PM
Carmel - there are three dawns, the crack of dawn, the ass crack of dawn, and the harry ass crack of dawn. They get one degree of earlier as they progress. I obviously don't like early LOL! glad you did not choke on coffee!
luctougue- no they are not my horses, they are one of my officers. I wish they were mine though!
starbender I will stear clear of waiting , thanks for the warning!
rev^3, I actually have a metal rose that was hand crafted from the Hoggetowne Fair, and it smells :) I also dried my valentine roses to hang on my wall, and they smell good too!
Alex, It was just what the doctor ordered thanks!
seenie - that is aweful! mystery is actually an x racehorse. But thankfully we did not have any problems. And there is nothing wrong with Wendy's! Having kids is a great excuse!!! Vernon Lodge sounds wonderful.... I think I have a mission for you an patrick, lol, since I can't come up there and go myself, you guys should go, and take pictures to post for me!!! (another good excuse, no?)
12:49 AM
Nice pictures, you really can see you're a real cowgirl chick. And about the homework part, I can imagine, school is getting pretty mean. All the stuff people are ought to do (my school really seems to think people my age don't have a social life or so. I hope your school is not like that, but because it's a school I'm afraid your school is just as mean)
